2008 Fender Jaguar Bass Made in Japan Hot Rod Red with Hard Case

Up for sale, here’s a really cool 2008 Fender J/aguar Bass Hot Rod Red in Excellent condition. Made in Japan (Serial T017XXX), with a Road Runner Molded hard case.

First owner, gently used. All original and with an upgraded hard case instead of the generic gig bag, Original and stunning Hot Rod Red finish (reminiscence from a Fiesta Red) with a 3-ply mint green pickguard . It has a classic Alder body and the typical control Jaguar control plates with switches. This is the early Jaguar version with two American Vintage Jazz Bass pickups.

It has a slim Modern “C” with 1,5″” nut width, a typical Jazz Bass neck profile and feel. A beautiful piece of Maple and Rosewood fingerboard. It has a los tinted finish which makes it very appealing and smooth to play. The neck is perfectly straight (truss rod  works perfect as expected) and without any fret issues, currently set low and it really plays like a dream. Strung with a set of D’addario Nickel  0.045″ – .100″.

These Jaguar control plates gives you a variety of options. On the  lower chrome plate are three slider switches. The first switch is the on/off control for the neck pickup. The second (middle) switch is the on/off control for the bridge pickup. These two switches make it possible to mute the bass’s output without turning the master volume knob down; you can simply turn the pickups off. The third slider switch is for switching the pickups in series (more like a P-Bass sound) or in parallel (like a Jazz Bass).  The series/parallel slider switch only works when the bridge pickup or both pickups are on.

On te upper control plate are  a single slider switch and two inset control wheels. The switch selects active or passive electronics circuits; passive in the down position (toward the neck) and active in the up position.

Over the traditional control plate are the input jack, master volume and master tone. The passive master tone knob still works when the bass is in active mode, which allows even more tonal possibilities.

This one in particular is a great one, aesthetically, it shows very minimal wear, although the instrument is in excellent condition. It’s almost entirely free from blemishes and other visual defects and has been played or used with the utmost care.
